Travel has been a very formative part of my life. I started traveling with my family since I have memories. But traveling solo, I did once I was in college. Those experiences made me more aware of myself. Traveling transforms you and opens your mind, heart, and senses to new experiences.
I got my travel passion from my dad. When he finished her master’s degree in Mexico, he had the fantastic opportunity to travel for work training in Japan. I think that experience changed him, and he coined the phrase: Every mind is a new whole world. Hence, he wanted us to experience the world as soon as possible, and he often embarked on family travels to acquire new experiences and points of view.
During those early experiences with travel, I noticed my dad is very observant. That can be a very underrated and valuable characteristic. If you know to observe, you will be amazed by the things you can learn, enjoy and memorize. Hence, when I travel, I recommend that you be observant and retain your thoughts. Write them on your phone or travel diaries if you are old school like me. I enjoy reading my travel thoughts afterward.
Now, if you like wine, it only enhances the travel experience. Visiting Vineyards and Wine Countries is a very rewarding experience. You not only have the opportunity to enjoy wine but also to learn about winemaking from people that work the vineyards or small family owners. Wine Travel is a remarkable experience to learn about wineries thriving and struggles. Here are 6 timeless quotes on travel & wine that I often return to when looking for inspiration or a reminder that traveling is the best learning experience.

– Paulo Coelho, Hippie
It is not the destination where you end up but the mishaps and memories you create along the way.
– Penelope Riley
