Carinena DO

Have you heard about a the wine region Carinena? ‘Cariñena’ is a DO located in Aragon, Spain 🇪🇸 .

Particularly, let me introduce you to to this DO Carinena; Vino Blanco Castillo Ducay 2017 made out of Macabeo grapes. Perhaps, not quite as widely known as other wines from Carinena but equally representative of their terroir.

Carinena Terroir

Soil content and composition are essential elements of the Cariñena terroir that distinguish the wines from this region. The dry, rocky soils give wines from the region their secondary nickname: el vino de las piedras, or “wine of the rocks”. Head to stories to read more about DO Carinena here.
