In the history of wine, many brave people have taken the chance and, with bravery, created innovations that have left a legacy. But when the true spirit of innovation stays within that legacy, it reaches new spheres of innovation. In other words, when bravery is deeply rooted within the family, the innovation continues centuries later.

Such is the case of the Baron Philippe de Rothschild family, which emerged to expand its Estate outside of France in a century when this was not a common practice. He then opened Opus One with Michael Mondavi in America and created wine brands such as Mouton Cadet and Escudo Rojo in Chile, each a testament to their pioneering spirit.

Mouton Cadet, the legacy keeps innovating.

At the heart of Mouton Cadet is a constant enthusiasm fueled by a deep passion for wine and a genuine concern for people. These values are not just guiding principles but a reflection of the brand’s unwavering dedication and love for its craft.

Mouton Cadet is a Bordeaux vineyard with a history of 90 years. Baron Philippe de Rothschild created it in 1930, and it has grown and evolved over three generations.

From the contribution of his great-grandchildren, Mouton Cadet x Mathilde and Mouton Cadet x Nathan White and Rosé blends are now in the market. These new wines mark a significant milestone in the evolution of the Mouton Cadet brand, introducing two new styles of wine to the market: easy-drinking, fresh, and contemporary. They are a testament to the family’s commitment to innovation and our ability to adapt to the changing tastes and preferences of our consumers.

I was very intrigued to try these wines. Since they are driven by a new generation. These wines represent a new generation of winemakers with more approachable, eye-catching, and fun labels. This Mouton Cadet collection is not only easy-drinking and refreshing, but also organic and vegan. Celebrates the boldness of the new while respecting the environment and people. The brand aims to build closer relationships within the wine-growing community. This is a step on the right direction to refine the tasting profile of the wines. Also, it to foster a sense of togetherness among younger generations. I can think that this makes it a perfect choice for those who value sustainability and ethical production.

The Rothschild family upholds the utmost importance of family values, a cornerstone of their winemaking. This commitment to tradition is beautifully balanced with their innovative spirit. This family of innovators will continue to create new wine experiences. The Rotshchild family will breake far traditions to forge new ones for all to savor.
