I am a self proclaimed New Yorker and true wine lover. I hold everything from New York to an Empire Estate standard. If it’s local, it must be iconic. So, when Wölffer Estate announced their new Hamptons Light, you know I had to get my hands on it. My husband and I drove two hours to the North Fork to get it. Let me share some wisdom, if Wölffer Estate releases something, it’s not just a wine. It’s a lifestyle. Take Summer in a Bottle rosé, for example. After a decade of dominating Hamptons summers and beyond, it’s more than a wine! It’s a cultural staple. Honestly, you can’t call yourself a New York wine lover if you haven’t sipped this classic.
Naturally, my expectations for Hamptons Light were sky high. And I’m happy to report: this low alcohol choice has officially earned a spot among my go to house wines.

The Allure of Hamptons Light: More Moments, Less Limits
So, what’s the buzz about Hamptons Light?
This low alcohol wine comes in at just 7 percent alcohol. Let me tell you, it is low alcohol done right. How I dare to make such a statement? I have received multiple samples of Low Alcohol wines. Some of them I rather skip entirely from my reviews. With Hamptons Light, the percentage felt perfect for me. It was light enough to enjoy a glass (or two) without feeling off balance. Yet, it was still a true product of fermentation. It had all the character you would expect from a well crafted wine. Moreover, the mouthfeel has structure to pair with diverse range of food plates.
This wine is made primarily from Pinot Blanc with a touch of Pinot Gris. It is sourced from the Wasem Family in Rheinhessen, Germany. It brings a refined Mosel style elegance to the Hamptons.
Hamptons Light is a reflection of the modern Hamptons lifestyle, rooted in balance and intention. It is crafted for those who value presence over pretense and quality over excess. Inspired by their CEO, Marc Wölffer’s globally minded perspective, Hamptons Light embodies a new kind of luxury. Mindfully luxurious, which is one that is about feeling good: energized, connected, and clear headed. Light and crisp, it fits effortlessly into a lifestyle where wellness and enjoyment go hand in hand.
